Flight Service TP957 – Porto to Madeira

You can now experience a real sceduled flight from Porto to Madeira in an Airbus A321 TAP. The airport of Madeira, informally known as Funchal Airport, was once infamous for its short runway which, surrounded by high mountains and the ocean, made it a tricky landing for even the most experienced of pilots. This airport is considered the Kai Tak of Europe because of its singular approach to runway 05! The History Channel program “Most Extreme Airports” ranked it as the 9th most dangerous airport in the world, and the second most dangerous in Europe.

Flight Service LX883 – Cagliari to Lugano

Departs from Cagliari Elmas and fly to Lugano Airport in a Bombaridier CS100 Swiss Air. The Lugano airport’s instrument approach procedure is quite challenging because of its steep angle of descent of 6.65°, more than double of the standard approach angle of 3°. This is due to its geographic location in the mouth of a valley.
